Who we are

Actually “we” is just me…Rose; raised in Williamson County but a Wilson County convert because my husband grew up here. We love Mt. Juliet and living close to Old Hickory Lake where life is prettier by the water and now the sunsets behind our additional property on Benders Ferry Rd will be even more beautiful as I fill our 2 acre lot with seeds, bulbs, and tubers to begin my journey of becoming a flower farmer.

I tell people who ask me what I do for a living, “I do all things property”…think real estate; mortgage; construction; legal, while holding licenses for each of those industries. But my sister moved away last year and we wound down the construction aspect of our businesses which left me looking for something more to do. I found myself gravitating towards flowers and once I started saving and collecting my own seeds, I was hooked. It was all but decided when pastel colored zinnias, ombre colored dahlias, fluffy peonies and heirloom mums started popping up my feed.

We have been blessed beyond measure and always seek to do what is right especially in business. I also consider myself an economical person and knew that whatever form this business took on, the products had to be offered at reasonable prices. If I, myself, wouldn’t pay those prices then I certainly couldn’t justify charging higher prices I see offered elsewhere that often deterred me from buying fresh flowers or plants.

I’ve been working to transform our rear field with grading, cover crops, a hundred peony roots, bulbs, hybrid garden roses, dahlias, and thousands of seeds that are sprouting in my potting shed.
